Discussion:
interface traffic count behavior

hello,

I am using mrtg to generate traffic-stats for my network interfaces. In my
configuration I use tagged vlan interfaces. It seams that the physical
interface counts the complete input (sum of all incoming pakets including
the tagged vlan traffic), but the physical interface does not count the
complete outgoing trafic.

Ist that the wanted behavior (if yes why) or is it a bug?

My kernel: NetBSD 3.1.0_PATCH

Thank you for your efforts
Uwe

It's known behavior. Still I'd call it a bug that input and output
are inconsistents. It has not annoyed me enough to look at fixing it yet,
though.
