nslookup: too many lookups

i just noticed this (bug?):

% nslookup cvsweb.ua.netbsd.org
nslookup: too many lookups

cvsweb.ua.netbsd.org points to a CNAME that has no A Record.

I'm running 4.99.16 from March 23.

What version of NetBSD? I see this:

marie is 101% host cvsweb.ua.netbsd.org
Host cvsweb.ua.netbsd.org not found: 3(NXDOMAIN)
marie is 102% nslookup !$
nslookup cvsweb.ua.netbsd.org
Server: ::1
Address: ::1#53

** server can't find cvsweb.ua.netbsd.org: NXDOMAIN

marie is 103% uname -a

marie is 104%
