Hi,

I recently installed NetBSD 6.1 and while the installation was easy and
the RTL8169SC Ethernet adapter was recognized, I seem to be getting
sluggish performance. I'm only seeing around 25-30% of the usage. In
the past, I was easily able to get 50% or higher.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Not really because you haven't said what you are doing now and what you were doing before you upgraded. Most people are interested in file transfers which obviously depend on much more than the raw network speed.

Try out some of the benchmarking tools in pkgsrc. The iperf benchmarking tool is in pkgsrc/net rather than pkgsrc/benchmarking.

Cheers,
Lloyd
